Helicopter deployment at Goldberg
In the afternoon, a passer-by drew the attention of the Hagen fire brigade to a larger smoke development that could be seen from a wooded area in the area of the city forest.
Since it was not possible to pinpoint the exact location of the fire from the ground, the police requested a helicopter to assist.
The fire brigade and police forces were guided to the scene of the fire from the air, which was about 50m away from a forest path.
A forest area of approx. 900 square meters caught fire for an unknown reason and could be extinguished by the fire brigade. There is no evidence of intentional or negligent arson. People were not harmed.
