After emergency landing: small plane recovered by helicopter
For two weeks, a small plane stood on a rape field near Mechow (district of the Duchy of Lauenburg) before it could be removed by helicopter on Saturday.
At the beginning of November, a single-engine propeller aircraft had to make an emergency landing on a field near Mechow in the Duchy of Lauenburg shortly after taking off from Lübeck. The reason for the unplanned stopover was probably an engine failure. The pilot was uninjured and there were no other passengers on board.
However, the machine could not restart safely under its own power. On Saturday, rescue came in the form of a helicopter, which flew the plane out of the rapeseed field on a rope.
